Manufactured in Europe and traded to Africa, probably western Africa, ca. 18th century CE. Approximately 130 black and tan glass cylindrical beads, with curving eye-like motifs on their sides. Trade beads played a major role in the age of European exploration and colonization, serving as currency on multiple continents. Length of strand: 34" L (86.4 cm)
