Pre-Columbian, Gulf Coast Mexico, Vera Cruz, ca. 550 to 950 CE. A tall terracotta standing female figure with outspread legs and arched feet, wide hips, a slender waist with a braided loincloth, perky breasts, attenuated arms, and rounded shoulders. The visage is comprised of a prominent nose with accompanying nose ring, a circular neck pendant, large ears with circular ear spools, elongated eyes with drill pupils, thin lips, and a wide brow. She also wears an ornate multi-lobed headdress, completing the look of a classic Veracruz figure. Custom stand included. Size: 7.375" H (18.7 cm); 7.75" H (19.7 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Head has been reattached at neck. Figure secured to stand with metal pin in left foot and adhesive. Age-commensurate surface wear, minor chips and losses to arms, ears, back, and headdress, some surface roughness, earthen deposits within recessed areas, and mineral deposits throughout.
