Description
Glazed ceramic with paint and gold. Japan, Meiji period
On the outside is a scene exclusively populated by many bijin beauties in extremely varied clothing, in front of huts, a temple complex, steep cliff walls and a waterfall. Two of the fields in between are decoratively designed with golden patterns, as is the shoulder area too. On the flat mouth is a radial line pattern. On the bottom of each vase is the signature HO-DO-DA 保 土 田.
Condition: Very well preserved
