Description
Pen & ink drawing on cream-colored wove paper, untitled abstract composition, attributed* to Hernando Ruiz Ocampo (1911-1978). Signed and dated. 10 3/4 x 8 inches. Very good condition. Unframed for shipping.
Provenance: According to a letter from 1977, this work was acquired by Rose Fast, whose cousin and his wife worked as missionaries in the Philippines for more than 30 years. Mrs. Fast, who lived in Minnesota, made occasional trips to the Philippines to visit her cousin. It is presumed that she met the artist during one of these trips. Later acquired by the consignor's family from Mrs. Fast.
