Aaron Bohrod, original 1937 pen and ink drawing titled "Head of Boy". Drawing is 4.5 x 3.5 inches inside a 10.5 x 9.5 wooden frame with a glass face. CONDITION: Fine; a clean clear drawing with no visible defects. Bohrod was born in Chicago in 1907, the son of an emigree Bessarabian-Jewish grocer. Bohrod studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League of New York between 1926 and 1930. Bohrod's works can be found in the collections of many American museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, and the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. The Aaron Bohrod Gallery at the University of Wisconsin–Fox Valley was named in his honor.
