THEODORE PAIER (GERMAN, 19TH CENTURY) LANDSCAPE PAINTING, oil on canvas, farmer in horse-drawn wagon on a country lane flanked by stone cottages and open fields, signed lower left, on likely original stretchers. Housed in a modern frame. Fourth quarter 19th century. 16" x 20" sight, 22 3/4" x 26 3/4" OA.
Painting in very good visual condition with minor to moderate areas of craquelure, small area of inpainting to roof of cottage at far right.
