AMERICAN OR EUROPEAN SCHOOL (LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY) ALLEGORICAL PAINTING, oil on canvas, full-length depiction of a symbolic bare-breasted female figure, draped in red and white gown and festooned with flowers, in a verdant natural setting, an abundance of fruit placed around a Corinthian capital rests on the ground before her, no signature located. Housed in a period gilt frame with molded-composition ornament. Late 19th/early 20th century. 43 3/4" x 28 1/4" sight, 56 1/2" x 41" OA.
Painting in good overall visual condition with minor areas of surface loss and scattered minor inpainting. Frame with moderate wear, losses, and repairs.
