19th Century Massachusetts Mahogany Shelf Clock. Original painted iron dish dial with black Roman hour numerals and blued hands; quality brass 8 day weight driven time only movement with recoil escapement, iron weight, solid brass pulley and brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany case with arched crest, fluted pediment, spun brass finial, reverse painted door glass with filigree and corner lyres inscribed “Aaron Willard, Boston”, removable front panel in front of the weight baffle; case is stamped on the hood, rear of front panel, weight baffle and back board with number “333”. Has a beautiful enhanced original finish, door glass is professionally repainted on old wavy glass, nice overall condition, running.33 in. high x 13 in. wide x 5.75 in. deep. Weight: 26.25 lbs.
