Description
East Asia, China, late Ming to early Qing Dynasty, ca. 1600 to 1700 CE. A finely made, ceramic shallow bowl with a pretty motif of a blue fish with a crosshatched red body. The body of the fish is dynamic, as if caught in mid-leap, rising from the water. Symmetrical curved blue lines that circle around the interior rim give the idea of a splash. Size: 8.25" W x 1.5" H (21 cm x 3.8 cm)
