Unsigned, oil on canvas, "Mrs. Mary Quick Pell" portrait. She was the wife of John Pell of Westchester County, New York, he was a grandson of Sir John Pell the founder of Pelham, NY. Very fine painting, the figure wears a lace bonnet and fur lined red cloak, she holds a looking glass and book in her hands. In very good condition, relined with no visible damages or inpainting. 33.75 x 26.5 inches - Frame: 37.5 x 30.5 inches. Weight: 11 lbs.
