Patriotic Americana, Circa 1930's Folk Art; Handmade UNCLE SAM figure/doll. Mixed composition includes plaster bust, hands, and feet, along with a cotton stuffed body, and hair or wool beard. Clothing materials are a combination of wool felt (coat and hat), satin ribbon (pants and on hat), cotton (shirt). The head, hands and feet are hand painted with nice facial details. The body feels as though it is stuffed with some sort of hard cotton batting. There is some hand stitching as well as machine stitching. Approximate size is 12" tall with hat x 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/4" in thickness. Condition: nice vibrant bright colors with overall light soiling with occasional light scuffs and dings. a few small holes and thread separations. toning of white fabrics.
