**First Time At Auction**
East Asia, China, late Qing Dynasty to early Republic period, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. Three lovely porcelain cups, each with a ringed base, flared rim, and shallow interior cavity. A small cup has eight fluted sides which alternate in design between black and red calligraphic characters and blue and green floral and leafy motifs. The larger pair of cups display beautiful polychrome floral designs in hues of coral, seafoam, cream, citrine, lime, fuchsia, and salmon; each of the larger cups have smooth, rounded sides, and four orange Chinese characters underneath the base. Size of largest: 4.125" Diameter (10.5 cm).
Provenance: ex-Adeon Gallery, Chicago, Illinois, USA, acquired prior to 1970
