Artist signature for Caroline Virginia (Rich) McGuffey with "C.V.M. / 1882" inscribed on base. Marked with impressed "ROOKWOOD / 1882". Rookwood Pottery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Circa 1882. 7 7/8" H.
Several hairlines on rim and repair to spout, otherwise undamaged.
Provenance: Estate of Gene H. Baber, Fishersville, VA.
