A PAIR OF PAUL STORR (British 1771-1844) GEORGE III PERIOD STERLING SILVER CONVERTIBLE ENTRÉE SERVING DISHES WITH CAST HANDLES, LONDON, ENGLAND, 1816-1817, of rectangular domed form, the cover with gadrooned border, and engraved armorial, with twist socket for cast floral form handle with addorsed lion's heads and hairy paw feet, the base with matching gadrooned border and engraved lion passant regardent, fully marked, total approximate weight: 142.175 troy ounces. Height: 5 3/4" Width: 12 1/2" Depth: 9" NOTE: The handles, tops and bases all have matching numbers, one dish marked "1/776" the second dish "2/776."
Condition
In overall good condition with surface scratching and rubbing to engraved decoration commensurate with age and use, dent to underside corner of one base.
