A pair of George III Sterling Silver Salt Cellars, London, 1786-1787, by Henry Chawner (1764-1851; free 1785), navette pedestal form, with upswept ends raised on a conforming pedestal foot, with beaded rim and base, engraved with a crest of a stock dove holding in its beak a branch fructed, h. 2-3/4", l. 4-1/4", w. 2-1/2"; 5.30 total t. oz.

A set of Four Early Victorian Sterling Silver Salt Cellars; hallmarked London, 1838-1839, by Mary & Richard Sibley (fl. 1836-1838), retailed by Robert Makepeace & Co., cauldron form, with wavy gadrooned rim, the body elaborately decorated with engraved and flat-chased rococo shells and scrolls on imbricate and diapered grounds, raised on four shell-crested scroll-and-stepped-pad feet, the interiors gilt, engraved with the crest of Moses et al. (a cock regardant proper) and monogrammed "JM", h. 2", dia. 3-1/4"; 16.13 total t. oz.

**Pair of George III Salts, Hennell: In overall good condition with no breaks or losses to the reticulation, and only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Two small chips and a few other scattered frits on the inside rim of the glass liner.

**Pair of George III Salts, Chawner: Both cellars show signs of a skillful professional repair of damage to the pedestal where it meets the foot. The cellars were evidently polished after the repair, with some loss of detail to the crest and the relief of the beading. This restoration has put the pair into very good condition. Hallmarks excellent.

**Four Victorian Salts, Silbey: A very handsome set with no condition issues other than some light wear consistent with age and use, including some fading to the gilding, light scratches on the bowl interiors, and scattered nicks and scuffs. Lovely decoration.
