Description
**First Time At Auction**
Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 2nd century BCE. A petite mold-made terracotta vessel with a slight concave base, piriform body, tubular neck, and a flared rim. The body displays a stellar image of an eagle head, with a curved beak, a diamond-shaped eye with a delineated pupil, and a feathery plumage, all in low-relief. This flask is quite rare due to the condition of the stylized avian depiction, and would make a lovely addition to any collection! Size: 3.5" H (8.9 cm).
