Description
2334-2000 BC. An agate cylinder seal of concave profile with two contest scenes comprising: on the right a standing bearded god is wrestling with a bull which he tramples down by pulling up its tail and hind leg; on the left a standing 'bull-man' with human head and torso, but taurine horns, lower body and legs; is wrestling with hands with a rampant lion, with no dagger, the folded-in arms typical for the Akkadian period.
