Description
Greece, ca. 4th to 3rd century BCE; Roman Empire, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A wonderful ensemble of twenty-seven terracotta heads in varying forms and styles. Many of the heads depict female figures with delicate facial features and graceful hairstyles; some depict men with more masculine facial features and expressions; and three of the heads depict Roman actors' masks with aggressive expressions and wide-open mouths. A lovely gathering for any collection! Size: 1.75" L x 1.25" W x 1.5" H (4.4 cm x 3.2 cm x 3.8 cm).
