A Chinese Ming Dynasty blue & white glaze porcelain plate, center body decorated in cobalt-blue glazed fruiting jujube and foliate enclosed within double fine blue rings compromising the cavetto, before band of six variety of fruits and floral abundance on the rim, all reserved against clean white ground. Chinese Taoists regarded jujube fruit as the food of immortality. The underside left unglazed, with orange-brown base and grayish-dark firing spots.

Mark under the exterior rim, six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed within a rectangular frame border, XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
