The Chinese celadon mallet vase potted with bulbous belly raised upon a flat base, the tall columnar neck rising to a wide everted mouth rim, covered overall in a translucent sea-green glaze suffused with a subtle crackle, the foot ring left unglazed revealing orange-brownish ground with five dark-brown blotches dressing on the countersunk base. The mallet celadon vase elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand. Probably from Song Dynasty period.
