VERY FINE Chinese Fangding jade censer, carved in a rectangular body, with four protruding cylindrical shaped corners, raised on four splayed legs. Two lion masks emerged under the rim, its mouth suspending a looped handles downward to the body. The exterior decorated with numerous dragons borne amidst flames and clouds between bands of auspicious ribbon in shallow reliefs. The dome lid crowned with a vigorous dragon finial.
The jade displayed pale-celadon iridescent, with moist milky appearance, and clean even tone.
