DESCRIPTION: A Pre-Columbian Chancay tunic. Features a woven cotton foundation with a slit along the top center and embroidered along the bottom with bird motif patterns and geometric designs. Fitted to a canvas stretcher. These items have been appraised and authenticated by Carol Damian, Master of Art in Pre-Columbian Art History from the University of Miami, with an array of professional academic experience in the field of Pre-Columbian art such as Assistant Professor of Art History at Florida International University, Special Consultant of Pre Columbian Art at the Lowe Art Museum, and Special Consultant at the Consulate of Peru.
