Description
**First Time At Auction**

Latin America, Mexico, ca. early 20th century CE. A large and lovely rectangular mirror set in an oval-shaped hammered tin frame. The frame has two flared sections, one on both top and bottom, with six yellow tin flowers riveted in place. The obverse has a plethora of hammered designs, such as circular, dot-shaped, and linear, imbuing it with the charm and elegance characteristic of post-colonial Mexico. The verso has a three-bar rectangular frame, as well as a single malleable metal flap on top, and a large horizontal bar in the middle which holds the mirror in place. A metal loop has a strand of wire strung through it for suspension. Size: 17.625" H (44.8 cm).
