**First Time At Auction**

Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 2nd century BCE. A tall terracotta spindle vessel with a piriform body, a tubular neck, a flared rolled rim, and a narrow pedestal base. Vessels like these would have been used as perfume containers, but could also be for less-common oils. Size: 6.75" H (17.1 cm).

Provenance: private Orange County, California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
