This is number 457 of the limited 765 copy printing, August 25th, 1920, of Andre Gide's Le Promethee Mal Enchaine, with thirty illustrations by Pierre Bonnard. The softcover (9.625" x 7.5"), in the original glassine jacket, which has moderate edge wear but which is good overall, is itself in very good condition, with some border sunning and one small stain, but otherwise clean, with no fade to the art or lettering. The inside is clean throughout the book. The number stamp is the only extraneous element. A few leaves are slightly loose toward the bottoms of the gutters, but the binding is secure, with no fully loose and no missing pages. There are no tears and no notable creases. All the art and text are clean and unfaded. The above photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.
