Condition
In good "as found" condition. The piece exhibits normal mars, blemishes, shrinkage and indications of
age and use.
Case appears tight and solid.
Shims have been added at the saddle board supporting the works.
Key for waist door is present. Pendulum and weights are present. Winding key is lacking.
The lower section exhibits vertical shrinkage cracks on each side of the case. The backboard has extra
boards, about 4" high, and the difference in width between the base and waist suggests the waist may
have been reduced by that amount.
