DESCRIPTION: Collection of deeds and documents all pertaining to land now known as 1610 Enola Road, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Earliest document is an indenture dated May 14, 1795. Also includes two 1801 deeds transferring the land (then in two parcels known as "Morocco" and "Contention") to Jonas Echart, both signed by Governor Thomas McKean. Culminates in a copy of a deed dated October 2, 2000 transferring the land from the Stipes family (Colonel Clarence O.Stipes and his widow Katherine E. Stipes) to Albert A. Watts, Jr. Documents housed in binder with additional paperwork including the real estate flyer when the house was sold by the Stipes as well as Colonel Stipes' passport and other supporting documentation. MEASUREMENTS: Various. CONDITION: Older documents with toning and wear as expected with age and use.
