17th/18th Century Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Duan ink stone carved unto a tapered rectangular form, fitted into a hardwood covered box and elaborately carved with dragons amidst dense of ruyi clouds. The ink stone exterior adorned with open work carving dragon rested upon the circular ink well. The stone displays attractive pale-celadon color with darker and lighter hues. The stone underside carved with a sea dragon and clouds. Mark on base of wooden box, carved four gilt seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period.
