Description
NATIVE AMERICAN BANNERSTONE, hard stone, probably brown granite, winged form. Presented in a butterfly case. Reserve. Lauderdale Culture; found in Branch Co., MI. Late Archaic period, 4000-3000 B.P. 5 1/4" x 3 7/8" OA.
Excellent as-found condition, one chip most likely period.

Catalogue Note: Per Mr. Gusler, "A beautiful large bannerstone of an interesting color. Has one chip on the wing, which appears to be from the period of Indian use."
