The letter sent on 04.24.1819 to Secretary of War John C. Calhoun (future 7th Vice President of the USA) from the Navy Officer Charles B. Tallmadge (1792-1832).

In this note Tallmadge demands (what a surprise) a budget increase for the Naval offices.
