Partially Printed Broadside Signed ("P.G. Stuyvesant" and "Hamilton Fish"), folio (23" x 18"), New York City, February 28, 1835, being an inaugural certificate of membership to the Saint Nicholas Club of New York City. Folded twice, with some toning, light soiling, tears to edges and splits at folds. Refer to photos. ******************************** The Saint Nicholas Society of the City of New York was founded on February 28th, 1835. The new members gathered at Washington Hall, and the elected officers included Peter G. Stuyvesant, Washington Irving, Peter Schermerhorn, Hamilton Fish, and others. The mission of the society was to preserve the heritage, history, and society of New York City.
