Item Details

Description

Standard glaze vase with the nicely detailed portrait of a Native American brave, the work of Grace Young in 1898. Marks include the Rookwood logo, which indicates the date, shape 589 E, Ms. Young's monogram twice and "Shoshone". There is faint overall crazing and a few very light, short scratches in the glaze. Height is 8 1/2 inches. Typically well done portrait by Ms. Young.
