Description

Good Rookwood Standard glaze portrait of an Indian done in 1900 by Adeliza D. Sehon. Pictured is Spotted Jack Rabbit of the Crow Nation regaled with a full headdress, quite colorfully detailed by Ms. Sehon. Marks include the company logo, which indicates the date, shape number 745 B, the incised name of the sitter and the incised initials of the artist. Height 8 1/8 inches. Professional repair to a thumb nail size rim chip along with normal crazing and some surface scratches. Elizabeth Rudisill Collection.
