This lot consists of an Original Ink and Watercolor on Paper signed 'Andy Warhol' and titled 'Sam'. Image shows a cat in orange with one green, one blue eye and the name “Sam†hand written in script in the lower right. Done in the early Pop Art style associated with Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987). This piece is an interpretation of one of the cats depicted in Warhol’s 1954 collection of lithographs titled '25 Cats Named Sam and One Blue Pussy'. Piece measures approx. 8.5' x 11.5'.

Paper is lightly toned with signs of age including minor creases, bumps and folds primarily around the edges. The image and signature are clear, crisp and show very well.
