Description
Roman Empire, North Africa, ca. late 1st to early 2nd century CE. Redware wheel-turned pottery plate with straight walls, short base, wheel turned incised circles on the interior and stamped with a very deep distinct planta-pedis (bare human foot) on the center tondo. Fine-grained fabric with brown-red metalic slip save area around foot. Nice early example! Size: 6" W x 1.375" H (15.2 cm x 3.5 cm)
