Roman Empire, North Africa, ca. 4th century CE. Redware wheel-turned pottery plate with sloped walls, no exterior foot decorated on the interior with single grooved circle and stamped with four planta pedis around center, each wearing what would appear to be riveted boot soles. A fascinating example! Size: 10" W (25.4 cm)
