after JACQUES-LOUIS DAVID (French 1748-1825) A SCULPTURE, "Napoleon Crossing the Alps," continental, probably second French empire period, white alabaster on a rectangular integral base, the rocks inscribed "BONAPARTE" and "...NIBALE." Height: 20 1/2" Width: 20" Depth: 6"
Condition
One finger now broken, exposing a possible old repair, apparent in the form of an inset metal fragment. Some areas with yellowed spots mostly on the base, some black color scuffs at side and back, and some expected surface scratches and wear, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
