Two Memento Miniatures
including "Portrait of Napoleon", after Jacques-Louis David's 1798 study, watercolor, monogrammed "MM" lower right, dia. 2-5/8"; and a mourning keepsake, eglomise with watercolor and elaborate hairwork, monogrammed "St. M" and "St. MP" on two of the gravestones, sight 3" x 2-1/2".
Each matted and glazed in similar wood frames.
framed 5-1/4" x 5-2/4" and 5-3/4" x 5", respectively
Provenance: Estate of Dr. Carroll Ball, Jackson, Mississippi.
