Description
A GROUP OF FIVE SILVER ITEMS WITH WOODEN HANDLES, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY, comprising a Charles Chesterman II George III period tapered oval teapot, London, 1801, with bands of stamped foliate decoration centering an armorial crest and monogram within laurel wreaths, turned "C" shape wooden handle and hinged top with turned ebonized wood and bone oval finial, marked, height: 6 1/2", width: 11 1/2", depth: 4"; a Charles and Richard Comyns George V period solitaire teapot, London, 1922, the squat rounded vessel banded at the shoulder, with turned "C" shape handle, the domed lid with turned peg form finial, marked, height: 3 5/8", width: 7 1/4", depth: 4 1/8"; a German double handled brandy warmer, probably Nuremberg, circa 1800, with twist swirled bowl raised on ball and claw feet with ebonized wood balls, turned double handles, indistinct marks, height: 4 3/8", width: 10 1/2", depth: 3 7/8"; an oval bowled punch ladle with silver bowl inset with a 1702 Queen Anne shilling (first bust, pre-Union reverse), partially twisted ebonized wood handle with silver cap, unmarked, length: 12 1/2"; and a Whiting Manufacturing Co. serving spoon with ebonized wood handle, New York, New York, circa 1900, marked, length: 11 5/8".
Condition
In overall fair sound condition, with scratching, rubbing, and wear to silver and wood components.
