Eva Zeisel, a pair of rare Plates from Eva Zeisel Fine Stoneware/Hi-Fi Stoneware, Hollydale Pottery, South Gate, California, 1957. Both with standard stamp on underside. The front of the first glazed in Bright Blue, the second in Allegro Yellow. Dia. 10 1/4 in. (26.2 cm). 1620-111
Exhibited: San Diego, Mingei International Museum, "Eva Zeisel: Extraordinary Designer at 100," 10 December 2006-12 April 2007.
The Hi-Fi (i.e., High Fire) Stoneware line was advertised as having been "made in stoneware in colors never used in that medium." Long Beach Independent Press-Telegram, March 17, 1957, p. 36.
