**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, ca. 0 to 1000 CE. A wonderful grouping of forty-four terracotta spindle whorls strung in necklace form on a twisted cord made of natural fibers. Each spindle whorl has finely incised details, mostly abstract geometric motifs, with some displaying nub-shaped protrusions and others being either discoid or spherical in shape. Necklace is wearable as shown. Size of largest spindle whorl: 1.375" W (3.5 cm); Size of necklace: 18" L (45.7 cm).
