Description
Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Spanish, 1746-1828), "Extrana devocion! (Strange devotion!) as Plate 66 from "Los Desastres de la Guerre (The Disasters of War)", etching with aquatint on paper, titled lower center and plate given upper left, labels on verso of frame from Circle Gallery, 1072 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana and with Ferdinand Roten Galleries, Baltimore, Maryland. Work on paper depicting a glass casket with deceased child resting on the back of a donkey with mourning figures surrounding. Framed approximately 14.25" x 15.5". Sight size approximately 6.75" x 8.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Norma F. Dodds of Snellville, Georgia.
