Description
Chinese, likely 20th century. Large porcelain hu form vase with hundred deer motif in hand painted enamels on white ground, applied antlered deer handles in iron red and black, expansive figural scene depicting deer in various positions throughout rocky and tree covered landscape. Underside with blue mark under glaze for Ching Dynasty, Qianlong period 1736-1795, additionally labeled with Bolduc antiques, Quebec city, QC inventory label, a Yamanaka & Co. Ltd.label, and another obscured exhibition label. Approximate height 18.9", diameter of foot 9.75".
