An etching on paper entitled "Two Pantaloons Dancing," plate 35 of 50 plates from the series "Capricci De Varie Figures" first published in Florence, 1621 to 1622. The figures depicted in the composition are a pair of Commedia dell'arte figures dancing. Custom double grey linen mats and gilded wood frame. Jacques Callot was an important artist who contributed significantly to the development of the old master print. He created more than 1400 etchings that chronicle various aspects of early 17th century life and culture - depictions of clowns, soldiers, gypsies, drunkards, beggars, dancers, as well as figures instrumental to court life.

A "Two Pantaloons Dancing" etching is also in the esteemed National Gallery of Art collection (Rosenwald Collection, 1949.5.183).
