Description
Rare 17th Century earthenware double-handled urn, used for storing walnut oil. Discovered on an underwater dive, in a sealed shipping container off the coast of Marseille. With strong emerald green glaze. Provenance: Languedoc, France. Dimensions: H 10" x W 11" x D 8" Condition: Wear consistent with age, use, and exposure to salt water; including small nicks and chips, a few losses to glaze, and darkening to interior from walnut oil.

All the items in this auction remain at our Gallery in Norwalk, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Friday, April 29th - Friday, May 6th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
