Description
Thomas Alva Edison recorded sounds onto a wax cylinder then had a stylus following the grooves which enabled the sounds to resonate through a horn, named the Edison standard phonograph. Model: C. Serial number: 628127. The phonograph's success was pushing the music boxes out of business, though Edison had not intended its original use for entertainment. Big horn measures 32" tall x 22" diameter. Each cylinder measures 4-1/2" tall x 2-3/4" deep. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 12-1/2"T x 6-1/2"W x 8-1/2"D.
