Description
Eugene Alain Seguy (French, 1890-1985), first quarter 20th century. Group of four framed and matted Art Nouveau style prints using the pochoir (stencil) technique comprising Plate 39 "Bouton d'Or Anemone"; Plate 44 "Arum Sagittaire"; Plate 54 "Passiflore Gillet"; Plate 57 "Amarante Hortensia". Framed approximately 28.25" x 21.87". Sight approximately 18.5" x 12.75". Note: Eugene Alain Seguy was one of the foremost French designers of the early 20th century. His work captures the essence of both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Styles. He was a master of the pochoir (stencil) technique which allowed him to create images with dense and vibrant colors.
