Description
Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. Gorgeous and in excellent condition, this is a round cup with a diminuitive round foot. A thin black line demarcates the rim on the interior and exterior. The rest of the interior is colored a deep red. The exterior has a brilliant abstract geometric decoration of ziggurat-like crosses with circles inside of them, separated from one another by colored borders. Black outlines each shape, which are colored in with red, orange-yellow, and a pale, dusty sky blue. Size: 3.3" W x 2.25" H (8.4 cm x 5.7 cm)
