A collection of 13 officially numbered and unnumbered color photographs of Camp David and its facilities, along with eight Camp David Christmas cards and accompanying envelopes.

From this collection, four photographs depict the presidential cabin, Aspen Lodge, all of which are taken from a different angle; one photograph depicts the rocky oasis that greets visitors upon their arrival to Aspen Lodge, and the other eight photos are of the food preparation areas, the presidential aides offices and several officer's quarters that constitute Camp David. While Camp David is frequently photographed, these images present the viewer with a more candid view of the presidential retreat, one void of any of the usually present high-ranking, globally powerful dignitaries and figures who visit. The photos measure 8.25 x 10" each.

From this collection, there are two different versions of Christmas cards, both of which are undated and printed on eggshell white cardstock The first style, of which there are six of, features the snow capped Camp David welcome sign with "Merry Christmas" imposed underneath it. The inside of the cards features "Season's Greetings" in a black cursive script with a color photo of the Aspen Lodge beneath it.

The other style of Christmas cards, of which there are two in total, depict Dogwood cabin in a snowy landscape, with the words "Merry Christmas" imposed above the cabin in white text. Originally built as a single room cabin used as a meeting space prior to its renovation in the early 1970s, this image of Dogwood is printed in a blue-tone and opens up to the words "Season's Greetings" in a black cursive script. Both cards are inscribed by Lt. Hirschy and his wife. The cards all measure 4.5 x 5.5," the three acompanying envelopes measure 4.75 x 5.75."

Lieutenant Hirschy was Supply and Logistics Officer for the Military Aides to the President and Officer-in-Charge of the Navy Mess in the White House during both the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. His duties also included taking care of the President's needs on overseas trips, aboard the presidential yachts and at Camp David. Lt. Hirschy served in the White House from May 1, 1961 through May 31, 1965. These items come directly from the Hirschy family.
