Salomon Deyling was born in 1677 in Weida and died in Leipzing in 1755. He graduated from Wittenberg University in 1697 and received is Magister Degree in the department of Philodosphy in 1699. He became Doctor of Theology in 1710 in Wittenberg also, and then advanced to General Superintendet and President of the Consistorium in Eisleben. He eventually became full professor both in Leipzig University and Meissen. He, together with his colleague Heinrich Klausing formed the "Center for phalanx against all tendencies towared the new philosophy" advanced by Christian Wolffs.
